On Saturday, the Multicultural Centre in Kraków hosted a special meeting for international researchers and PhD students who have chosen Małopolska as the place to develop their academic and research careers.
The event brought together representatives of several universities and research institutions in the region, including AGH University of Krakow, Cracow University of Technology, Jagiellonian University, the University of Agriculture in Krakow and the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The meeting had a warm and informal atmosphere. Participants had the opportunity to get to know one another while taking part in a hands-on pierogi-making workshop. Together, they chopped onions, peeled potatoes, prepared the cheese filling and learned how to shape traditional Polish dumplings.
The workshop was not only a culinary experience, but also a chance to discover Polish culture through food, conversation and shared activity. The atmosphere was full of laughter, openness and good energy, creating space for new connections within the international academic community in Małopolska.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Multicultural Centre in Kraków, run by the IB Polska Foundation, for their hospitality and excellent cooperation. We are also grateful to our wonderful instructors, Elżbieta, Małgorzata, Anna and Natalia from the Eurointegration Foundation, for their enthusiasm, openness and guidance throughout the workshop.
We hope that this first meeting will become an important step towards building a strong and supportive community of international researchers and PhD students in Małopolska. The next event is coming soon.
The event was organised as part of the project “Małopolska – Inspiration For Your Research Journey”.
